Abderrachid Bouguerra made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Cheb N'Soumer sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tedj Malek made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Tipton AFC's Tedj Malek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafik Saïdi-Sief made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Nadir Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Sid Bensaoula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abderrachid Bouguerra having to interfere.
