Faouzi Saïfi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toufik Ahmed having to make a save. If Hocine Souakri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Punta Gorda's Karim Madouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustapha Djamel in the 11th minute of play. Faouzi Saïfi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toufik Ahmed having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Real Punta Gorda's zone, Hocine Souakri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Madouni came out of the goal and Hocine Souakri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karim Madouni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hocine Souakri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Hocine Souakri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Madouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustapha Djamel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hocine Souakri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karim Madouni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustapha Djamel in the 39th minute of the match. Hocine Souakri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Madouni having to interfere. Mustapha Djamel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karim Madouni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mustapha Djamel went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Hocine Souakri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Madouni having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Real Punta Gorda's goal looked a bit too open when Mustapha Djamel came free, but Karim Madouni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Faouzi Saïfi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute, Hocine Souakri made a precise shot to the right of Karim Madouni. Real Punta Gorda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 79th minute, Mustapha Djamel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Faouzi Saïfi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Punta Gorda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faouzi Saïfi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Real Punta Gorda booed when Petal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim Abrika didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karim Madouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustapha Djamel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Karim Madouni made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Hocine Souakri sent off a good shot on target. Hocine Souakri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Karim Madouni made a huge save. Toufik Ahmed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Assia Cohen's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, Petal's Mouloud Mamouni got a free kick in the 96th minute.
