Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Newtown Grant booed when Aspinwall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mimoun Fillali didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes, Ahmed Djahnine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aspinwall and the Newtown Grant players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmed Djahnine hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Samir Medjiba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aspinwall's Albert Doutté didn't even have to move. Said Haddou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouloud Matmour having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Said Haddou in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mouloud Matmour prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albert Doutté showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khair ad-Din Deghmani in the 22nd minute of the match. When Chadli Brahami came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Newtown Grant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chadli Brahami couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Newtown Grant's zone, Said Haddou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mouloud Matmour came out of the goal and Said Haddou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Newtown Grant's goal looked a bit too open when Said Haddou came free, but Mouloud Matmour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lakhdar Kourichi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouloud Matmour having to interfere. Mouloud Matmour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lakhdar Kourichi in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Newtown Grant's Ahmed Djebbour got a free kick in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Khair ad-Din Deghmani made a kick off. Lakhdar Kourichi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Mouloud Matmour skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Said Haddou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Doutté came out of the goal and Khair ad-Din Deghmani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khair ad-Din Deghmani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
