Temple City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rock Island the free kick. Yacine Ihidjaten had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Camel Zidane's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Yacine Ihidjaten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camel Zidane went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Yacine Ihidjaten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fateh Bentifour, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Rachid Boufroura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fateh Bentifour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Yacine Ihidjaten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rock Island booed when Temple City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nabil Saïdi-Sief didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camel Zidane, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Temple City's goal looked a bit too open when Fateh Bentifour came free, but Yacine Ihidjaten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Rachid Boufroura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rock Island's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Boufroura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fateh Bentifour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Temple City booed when Rock Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camel Zidane didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 48 in the game by Cherif Iles from a close distance when the talented Amar Gourion managed to make a qualified save. Rock Island's players were relieved. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Camel Zidane didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes in the game, Rachid Boufroura fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yacine Ihidjaten having to interfere. Fateh Bentifour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cherif Iles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amar Gourion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cherif Iles, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute, Ahmed Reda Bougherra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Temple City getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rabah Ziani hit a great ball. Rock Island's Rachid Boufroura got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Rock Island was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Boufroura to maneuver through the defense. Fateh Bentifour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yacine Ihidjaten having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Rachid Boufroura rounded Temple City's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2.
