Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) North Arlington's Fodil Djebar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mohamed Badis charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Badis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nowata booed when North Arlington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Badis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Mohamed Badis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Abdel Hamid Mimoun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lounès Belkacem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cherif El-Ouafi in the 11th minute of play. Ali Zakaria struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fateh Lamine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nowata. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdel Hamid Mimoun got free with Fateh Lamine in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cherif El-Ouafi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodil Djebar scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lounès Belkacem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdel Hamid Mimoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, North Arlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamel Hima to maneuver through the defense. Ali Zakaria might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fateh Lamine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When Cherif El-Ouafi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the North Arlington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cherif El-Ouafi couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Zakaria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cherif El-Ouafi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lounès Belkacem firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fodil Djebar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lounès Belkacem having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Zakaria in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fateh Lamine saved North Arlington from getting behind. Yacine Zaaboub charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. North Arlington's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 62nd minute of the game, when Mohamed Badis after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Nowata's goal. Mohamed Badis was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After 63 played minutes Nowata got a freekick which was hit by Abdelaziz Madjer. In the 68th minute Abdel Hamid Mimoun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fateh Lamine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodil Djebar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lounès Belkacem having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Hamid Mimoun in the 80th minute of play forced North Arlington's goalkeeper Fateh Lamine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Zakaria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fateh Lamine having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdel Hamid Mimoun in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fateh Lamine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Nowata's Abdelaziz Madjer got a free kick in the 84th minute. Abdelaziz Madjer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lounès Belkacem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fodil Djebar in the 95th minute of the match. Fodil Djebar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lounès Belkacem having to interfere.
