In the 26thth minute of the game Stoyko Suvandzhiev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honea Path AFC's Medjadi Merbah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Compton booed when Honea Path AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mimoun Saïfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stoyko Suvandzhiev in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Medjadi Merbah saved Honea Path AFC from getting behind. Medjadi Merbah came out of the goal and Stoyko Suvandzhiev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Compton's goal looked a bit too open when Camel Madani came free, but Dorotheos Mouzis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stoyko Suvandzhiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Compton fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Compton's Stoyko Suvandzhiev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Compton's Silviu Lupu was substituted for Noureddine Toumi. 80 minutes into the match, Compton's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhani Madouni came free, but Dorotheos Mouzis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
