Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) East Millcreek's Cheb Taha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Harahan's Mohamed Ben Khalidi got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abdelmalek Bouteflika kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Harahan got a freekick which was hit by Abdelnasser Cixous. East Millcreek's Abdel Hamid Abrika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Ben Khalidi in the 13th minute of play. Fadel Saïd-Guerni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheb Taha in the 15th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Hocine Mouzaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, East Millcreek's Cheb Taha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fadel Saïd-Guerni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of East Millcreek booed when Harahan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mourad Khadra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fadel Saïd-Guerni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Mezdad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cheb Taha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheb Khalef kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Rafik Zoheir Bouguerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Millcreek's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafik Zoheir Bouguerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fadel Saïd-Guerni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abdel Hamid Abrika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Ben Khalidi in the 44th minute of play. Mouloud Bahari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdel Hamid Abrika read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Hocine Belmellat hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Mouloud Bahari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdel Hamid Abrika having to make a save. Abdel Hamid Abrika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mouloud Bahari in the 56th minute of play. Mohamed Ben Khalidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Abdel Hamid Abrika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafik Zoheir Bouguerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fadel Saïd-Guerni having to make a save. Cheb Taha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fadel Saïd-Guerni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If Cheb Taha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
