Lakhdar Teissier hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match Jenison got a corner. Gloucester Courthouse's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mimoun Ouid Fillali ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Jenison's Yazid Dahar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jenison's zone, Kader Bouzid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salah Merbah came out of the goal and Kader Bouzid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salah Merbah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noureddine Djeziri, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Noureddine Djeziri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gloucester Courthouse's Noureddine Djeziri got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salah Merbah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kader Bouzid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Noureddine Djeziri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kader Bouzid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mimoun Al-Jazairia lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jenison! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Gloucester Courthouse. Ahmed Lacen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Salah Merbah. 1-1. Noureddine Djeziri struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Salah Merbah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gloucester Courthouse. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kader Bouzid made a kick off. Hicham Merah-Benida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Firoud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hicham Merah-Benida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yazid Dahar in the 52nd minute of play. Noureddine Djeziri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Gloucester Courthouse's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 80 minutes into the game, Yazid Dahar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jenison's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gloucester Courthouse the free kick. In the 81st minute, Gloucester Courthouse's Kader Bouzid ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Salah Merbah. Salah Merbah yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 85th minute Karim Firoud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hicham Merah-Benida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gloucester Courthouse's Hicham Merah-Benida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Firoud in the 89th minute of play. Noureddine Djeziri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Salah Merbah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
