After 17 minutes, Hicham Sennaoui made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Nahant FC's Mourad Meniri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. But to his dismay, Toufik Ouyahia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toufik Ouyahia to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toufik Ouyahia in the 89th minute of play forced Grayslake's goalkeeper Rabah Messaoud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nahant FC's Mourad Meniri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benamar Sifi in the 91st minute of play. Toufik Ouyahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Messaoud having to interfere. When Toufik Ouyahia came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Nahant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toufik Ouyahia couldn't finish the play. Nahant FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
