The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Mohamed Sifi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fergani N'Soumer's late challenge caught a Seymour's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fergani N'Soumer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Seymour booed when Elizabeth City AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fergani N'Soumer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mohamed Sifi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Mustapha Madjer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelmalek Karim Belkassem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Seymour booed when Elizabeth City AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Assia Amara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seymour's Nadir Kraouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yazid Gallaire in the 24th minute of play. Nadir Kraouche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yazid Gallaire in the 28th minute of the match. Elizabeth City AFC's Mohamed Sifi got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes in the game, Mohamed Sifi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nadir Kraouche having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustapha Madjer was the one to do the kick off. Mohamed Sifi struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Nadir Kraouche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elizabeth City AFC. In the 57th minute Yazid Gallaire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nadir Kraouche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yazid Gallaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Kraouche having to interfere. If Rabah Sifi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Elizabeth City AFC! The referee gave Seymour a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hamid Ramdani, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Elizabeth City AFC's Abdelmalek Karim Belkassem. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Elizabeth City AFC's zone, Rabah Sifi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelmalek Karim Belkassem came out of the goal and Rabah Sifi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yazid Gallaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Kraouche having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yazid Gallaire in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nadir Kraouche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Rabah Sifi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Elizabeth City AFC's Abdelmalek Karim Belkassem. Abdelmalek Karim Belkassem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mohamed Sifi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Elizabeth City AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Seymour's performance. The match ended with a win for Seymour.
