Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Djamel Aboulker took the kick off in the first half of the match. Smyrna's Fadhil Sofiane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yazid Reda Madouni in the 4th minute of play. Noureddine Messaoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djamel Aboulker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Lacarne having to make a save. In the 16th minute, Yazid Reda Madouni made a precise shot to the right of Fadhil Sofiane. Smyrna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 29th minute, Palmer Heights's Mohammed Ahmed Haddadj seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mohammed Ahmed Haddadj the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Palmer Heights protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mohammed Ahmed Haddadj had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Edmond Lacarne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Djamel Aboulker, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Djamel Aboulker scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmond Lacarne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdel Karim Fanon's late challenge caught a Smyrna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdel Karim Fanon helped the player get up and apologised. Smyrna's Lounès Bedjaoui got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Djamel Aboulker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lounès Bedjaoui scored 2-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmond Lacarne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noureddine Messaoud to make the kick off. Edmond Lacarne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lounès Bedjaoui's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Salah Zarabi's late challenge caught a Smyrna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salah Zarabi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Smyrna booed when Palmer Heights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salah Zarabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Djamel Aboulker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Lacarne having to interfere. Edmond Lacarne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lounès Bedjaoui's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Smyrna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René Brahami to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Palmer Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Djamel Aboulker came free, but Edmond Lacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmond Lacarne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamel Aboulker in the 65th minute of play. Djamel Aboulker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edmond Lacarne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lounès Bedjaoui in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Lacarne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Djamel Aboulker in the 71st minute of play forced Palmer Heights's goalkeeper Edmond Lacarne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes, Tedj Mammeri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmer Heights and the Smyrna players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Palmer Heights got a freekick which was hit by Tedj Mammeri. Lounès Bedjaoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Edmond Lacarne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmond Lacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djamel Aboulker in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Lounès Bedjaoui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Edmond Lacarne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Smyrna's Djamel Aboulker got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noureddine Messaoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palmer Heights's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
