With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cheb Fellahi in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kasdi Merah saved South Patrick Shores from getting behind. When Abdelaziz Khadra fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Patrick Shores's protests and gave Abdelaziz Khadra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Cheb Firoud made a precise shot to the right of Kasdi Merah. South Patrick Shores's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The South Patrick Shores players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. North Atlanta were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillaume Laurent El-Kenz to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Cheb Fellahi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but South Patrick Shores's Kasdi Merah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guillaume Laurent El-Kenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mourad Matmour having to interfere.
