In the 13th minute Lazhar Zaoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larbi Beloufa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lazhar Zaoui in the 15th minute of play forced South Plainfield's goalkeeper Larbi Beloufa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lazhar Zaoui in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Karim Mimoun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to South Plainfield getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Abdelaziz Heddou hit a great ball. Mouloud Chaib recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mouloud Chaib in the 37th minute of play forced South Plainfield's goalkeeper Larbi Beloufa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Halim Saadane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelmalek Saadane having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Salim Matmour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lazhar Zaoui stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Abdellah Medjadi Abdenouz came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the South Plainfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdellah Medjadi Abdenouz couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Colony AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
