The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Edgemere getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Thelma Abrika hit a great ball. Cheb Djura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rabah Deghmani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Kennewick got a freekick which was hit by Rabah Ziani. If Cheb Djura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Karim Khabatou came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Kennewick fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Khabatou couldn't finish the play. Edmond Belhagj didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karim Khabatou went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nadir Reda Madouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 0-2 became the score in the 36th minute when Karim Khabatou elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Edgemere's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Khabatou came free, but Edmond Belhagj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karim Khabatou to make the kick off. Rabah Deghmani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheb Djura in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, Kennewick was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelmalek Hadjadj to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Said Belkacem notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Kennewick's Rabah Deghmani. Rabah Deghmani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute Rabah Ziani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Belhagj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Belhagj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Khabatou in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Kennewick's goal looked a bit too open when Said Belkacem came free, but Rabah Deghmani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes, Abdelmalek Hadjadj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kennewick and the Edgemere players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abdelmalek Hadjadj hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Karim Khabatou was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Said Belkacem in the 88th minute of play forced Kennewick's goalkeeper Rabah Deghmani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
