Palmdale East's Daniel Lacen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tahar Lacen in the 8th minute of play. Lili Hima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Yazid Boulmerka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmdale East's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yazid Boulmerka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yazid Boulmerka to make the kick off. Noureddine Benhamou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Daniel Lacen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 60 minutes, Hamid Fillali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goodyear AFC and the Palmdale East players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Hamid Fillali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
