In the 4th minute, Rachid Ziani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Knodi Ouadah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Djabir Sellal having to make a save. Djabir Sellal was a little too slow when Mustapha Mihoubi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Valley Stream FC's Djabir Sellal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Mamouni in the 15th minute of play. If Medjadi Ziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nasserredine Yahia hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Ahmed Belkheir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Djabir Sellal made a huge save. Abdelaziz Ghazi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakim Skif, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Medjadi Ziani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Djabir Sellal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Mamouni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valley Stream FC's goalkeeper Djabir Sellal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ahmed Mamouni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hakim Skif to make the kick off. Medjadi Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Medjadi Ziani came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Valley Stream FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Medjadi Ziani couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute Hakim Skif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Ghazi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustapha Mihoubi during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mustapha Mihoubi hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Ahmed Mamouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djabir Sellal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Mamouni in the 75th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Hakim Skif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Ghazi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hakim Skif's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdelaziz Ghazi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. West Melbourne had won after a very even match.
