Lytle AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yazid Bentaala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Selma's Mohamed Kader played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yazid Bentaala in the 13th minute of play. Hemza Megharia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Rachid Chebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohamed Kader showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yazid Bentaala in the 25th minute of the match. Mohamed Kader stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yazid Bentaala's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rachid Benhamou got free with Mohammad Kaci Lacen in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fodil Madjer came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Lytle AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fodil Madjer couldn't finish the play. El Sofiane hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Rachid Benhamou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mebarek Kerbouche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mohammad Kaci Lacen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rachid Benhamou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mebarek Kerbouche to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kassel Bedjaoui during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Camel Douibi fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lytle AFC's protests and gave Camel Douibi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Lytle AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camel Douibi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 63 minutes, Rachid Benhamou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mohammad Kaci Lacen came out of the goal and Rachid Benhamou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Mebarek Kerbouche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mohammad Kaci Lacen. Lytle AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mebarek Kerbouche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mohammad Kaci Lacen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rachid Benhamou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdulhamid Bellemou Messaoud hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Selma's Rachid Chebal got his second yellow card of the match in the 99th minute. The referee ordered Rachid Chebal off the ground. In the 100th minute, Rachid Chebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 101st minute of the game. One of Selma:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lytle AFC:s goal.
