After a rather tough play, Trinidad's Noureddine Ramdane got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Mohammed Sahraoui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cherif Horr was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Mohammed Sahraoui might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cherif Horr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After recieving a nice pass, Trinidad's Noureddine Ramdane tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Trinidad's Mohammed Sahraoui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cherif Horr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Djamal Boukensa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rachid Cherrad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. The attack was good, but when Smail Daham in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 42 played minutes Cooper City got a freekick which was hit by Benamar Chebal. In the 44th minute, Mohammed Sahraoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohammed Sahraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cherif Horr having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rachid Cherrad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Smail Daham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djamal Boukensa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Smail Daham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cooper City's supporters rose to their feet, but Smail Daham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Djamal Boukensa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rachid Cherrad in the 59th minute of play forced Trinidad's goalkeeper Djamal Boukensa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rachid Baba Ali Kader during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rachid Baba Ali Kader hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Benamar Chebal kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, Cooper City's Cherif Horr got control of the ball when Mohammed Sahraoui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Djamal Boukensa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rachid Cherrad in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Trinidad booed when Cooper City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelhamid Khaldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammed Sahraoui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelhamid Khaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Djamal Boukensa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Smail Daham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 86 minutes, Rachid Cherrad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cooper City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Cherrad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rachid Baba Ali Kader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cherif Horr having to interfere. Trinidad's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
