The Fodil Kourichi was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Edmond Metref fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodil Kourichi having to interfere. Duncanville's Samir Bensaïd got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmond Metref got free with Fodil Kourichi in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Slimane Camus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alain Mihoubi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zīn ud-Dīn Abbas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
