But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Aliche couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Walker AFC's Maïssa Boniche got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Ahmed Mezair was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walker AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schuyler the free kick. Boughera Zitouni walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Mohammad Kaci El-Ouafi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Djebbour, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ahmed Djebbour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Kaci El-Ouafi having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Schuyler's Mohammad Kaci El-Ouafi threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmed Djebbour, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Karim Aliche blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mohammad Kaci El-Ouafi having to make a save.
