In the 17th play minute Mohammad Benhabiles came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Chih Mamouni. 1-1. In the 25th minute, Mohammad Benhabiles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Khair ad-Din Hamid Brahima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammad Benhabiles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grosse Pointe Woods AFC's Meziane Bouguerra was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Meziane Bouguerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chih Mamouni having to make a save. Krim Djeballi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mouloud Iles to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meziane Bouguerra in the 54th minute of play forced Huntington FC's goalkeeper Chih Mamouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mouloud Iles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohammad Belkheir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Huntington FC booed when Grosse Pointe Woods AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammad Benhabiles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Khair ad-Din Hamid Brahima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huntington FC's Chih Mamouni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammad Benhabiles in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute, Khair ad-Din Hamid Brahima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Larbi Larbi's late challenge caught a Huntington FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Larbi Larbi helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grosse Pointe Woods AFC had won after a very even match.
