Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Walid Nasri made the kick off and thus started the match. When Rachid Kaci Said came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Westerly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rachid Kaci Said couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the New Cordell defense, Walid Nasri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nasserredine Bouguerra. The New Cordell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nasserredine Bouguerra should have stopped the shot. Mohamed Megharia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Said Mammeri in the 13th minute. Belmadi Benmabrouk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mohamed Megharia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mourad Macias got free with Mohamed Megharia in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mohamed Megharia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mourad Macias in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Westerly's Hicham Prévost got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, New Cordell's Hocine Hadjadj broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 26th minute, Thelma Bouazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 minutes, Walid Nasri made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. New Cordell's Nasserredine Bouguerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hocine Hammad charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hocine Hammad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hocine Hammad hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Toufik Prévost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Amar Faudel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nasserredine Bouguerra skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmadi Benmabrouk to make the kick off. Mohamed Megharia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belmadi Benmabrouk's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Westerly's Mohamed Megharia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmadi Benmabrouk in the 55th minute of play. Nasserredine Bouguerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rachid Kaci Said in the 57th minute. A collision led to Westerly getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Amar Faudel hit a great ball. Hocine Hadjadj took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mohamed Megharia. Westerly's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Rachid Kaci Said had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, New Cordell's Said Mammeri got a free kick in the 69th minute. Walid Nasri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Megharia came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by New Cordell's Belmadi Benmabrouk. But to his dismay, Belmadi Benmabrouk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Nasserredine Bouguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walid Nasri, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 87 minutes into the match, New Cordell's Belmadi Benmabrouk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohamed Megharia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hocine Hadjadj shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Nasserredine Bouguerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walid Nasri in the 95th minute of the match. Westerly's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
