Dida Louahla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amar Ammour, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, Park Layne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Gourion to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Mpofu FC's Mohammed Ahmed Kermali got control of the ball when Hamid Bezzaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dida Louahla came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Mpofu FC's Abdelmalek Bensaoula. But to his dismay, Abdelmalek Bensaoula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohammed Maillot was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Mpofu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamid Bezzaz came free, but Mohammed Ahmed Kermali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Louahla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelmalek Bensaoula, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of Mpofu FC booed when Park Layne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fodil Sadmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Park Layne's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamid Bezzaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammed Ahmed Kermali breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mpofu FC's Mohammed Ahmed Kermali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamid Bezzaz in the 73rd minute of play. Abdelmalek Bensaoula hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Amar Ammour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Louahla was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. With his leg Dida Louahla managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Mpofu FC's Amar Ammour fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 85 played minutes Park Layne got a freekick which was hit by Rachid Gourion. Amar Ammour who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Dida Louahla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mohammed Ahmed Kermali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Bezzaz in the 91st minute of play.
