Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilles Zeghdoud started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Rabah Soltani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelmalek Bridji in the 6th minute of play forced Coal Fork AFC's goalkeeper Billel Merah-Benida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelmalek Bridji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billel Merah-Benida having to interfere. Gilles Zeghdoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billel Merah-Benida having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Coal Fork AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mokdad Bedjaoui to maneuver through the defense. Gilles Zeghdoud might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billel Merah-Benida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilles Zeghdoud ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th match minute, Coal Fork AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Baba Ali Bouteflika to maneuver through the defense. Gilles Zeghdoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gilles Zeghdoud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morganton's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilles Zeghdoud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billel Merah-Benida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Billel Merah-Benida came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Morganton's Gilles Zeghdoud. But to his dismay, Gilles Zeghdoud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Nasreddine Chaouchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Morganton's Amar Lamine got a free kick in the 39th minute. When Rachid Baba Ali Bouteflika came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Coal Fork AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rachid Baba Ali Bouteflika couldn't finish the play. Abdelmalek Bridji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Billel Merah-Benida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billel Merah-Benida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelmalek Bridji, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Morganton were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Coal Fork AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nasser Macias took the corner. Morganton's Mounir Amara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Billel Merah-Benida in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 59th minute, Ahmed Aarache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Coal Fork AFC's Billel Merah-Benida got control of the ball when Abdelmalek Bridji tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anther Khelaifia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rachid Baba Ali Bouteflika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rabah Soltani came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Morganton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rabah Soltani couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Nasreddine Chaouchi made a precise shot to the right of Anther Khelaifia. Morganton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Billel Merah-Benida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilles Zeghdoud in the 76th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Coal Fork AFC defense, Abdelmalek Bridji kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Billel Merah-Benida. The Coal Fork AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Billel Merah-Benida should have stopped the shot. Gilles Zeghdoud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Billel Merah-Benida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billel Merah-Benida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdelmalek Bridji's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When Gilles Zeghdoud came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Morganton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilles Zeghdoud couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute Nasreddine Chaouchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anther Khelaifia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rachid Baba Ali Bouteflika blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anther Khelaifia having to make a save. Morganton's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
