A collision led to Detroit AF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mohammed Cohen hit a great ball. The supporters of South Pottstown booed when Detroit AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cherif Malek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yacine Maroc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Detroit AF's Said Mammeri got control of the ball when Fodil Djebbour tried to sneak it across the goal line. South Pottstown's Smail Guessoum was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Said Mammeri in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yacine Maroc kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Djamel Bouguerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Morceli having to interfere.
