Mint Hill's Samir Saïdi-Sief was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 6th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 16th minute of the match, Camel Mammeri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cheikha Zenia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 18 minutes, Yacine Madjer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Highlands AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yacine Madjer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Brahim Besseghir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mint Hill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Highlands AFC the free kick. Brahim Besseghir hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Maïssa Daham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reda Hemdani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Yacine Madjer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mint Hill's zone, Yacine Madjer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reda Hemdani came out of the goal and Yacine Madjer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Maïssa Daham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reda Hemdani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maïssa Daham in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maïssa Daham to make the kick off. The North Highlands AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Camel Mammeri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mint Hill fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. North Highlands AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
