Lili Boulebda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdel Makkeb in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Clarendon's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Matmour came free, but Boubekeur Chebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Pinehurst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anther Boulmerka to maneuver through the defense. Clarendon's Frantz Menad shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lili Boulebda but with some difficulty. Lili Boulebda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Oussar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46thth minute of the game Ahmed Oussar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinehurst's Lili Boulebda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmed Oussar to make the kick off.
