A beautiful save bye Sedge Garden FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 16 played minutes Sedge Garden FC got a freekick which was hit by Amar Boniche. Khalida Djeziri hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Sedge Garden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Matmour came free, but Amrani Daham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Mehdi Hamid Brahima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amrani Daham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelhamid Lacarne kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Sedge Garden FC's Amrani Daham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehdi Hamid Brahima in the 35th minute of play. Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Salah Tlemcani made a huge save. Amar Boniche struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Salah Tlemcani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sedge Garden FC. Djamal Belloumi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salah Tlemcani having to interfere. The supporters of Sedge Garden FC booed when St. John AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nadir Boniche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Djamal Belloumi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Djamal Belloumi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes in the game, Charles Matmour fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amrani Daham having to interfere. When Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Sedge Garden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Sedge Garden FC's Amrani Daham got control of the ball when Charles Matmour tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sedge Garden FC's Djamal Belloumi got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, St. John AFC's Salah Hamruche got a free kick in the 69th minute. Mehdi Hamid Brahima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amrani Daham having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Djamal Belloumi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Salah Tlemcani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Salah Tlemcani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nasserredine Saïd-Guerni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Abdelaziz Bensaoula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sedge Garden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave St. John AFC the free kick. The supporters of St. John AFC booed when Sedge Garden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelaziz Bensaoula didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amrani Daham acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 99th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ahmed Reda Khadra. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
