The referee ignored Chincoteague's protests and gave Mohamed Bellemou Messaoud a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Chincoteague got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Bellemou Messaoud. After having played for 43 minutes, Nouara Ahmed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chincoteague's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nouara Ahmed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves El Saïdi-Sief could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Noureddine Belloumi however easily saved by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohamed Bellemou Messaoud stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mohamed Bellemou Messaoud was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played.
