Mehdi Mecherara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamel Assad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafik Zemmamouche scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mehdi Mecherara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Tarrant FC's Amar Ouyahia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nassim Mehenni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Kamel Assad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Iowa getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Boudjemaa Djaout hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amar Ouyahia made a kick off. Tarrant FC's Mehdi Mecherara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamel Assad in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Rafik Zemmamouche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarrant FC's Mehdi Mecherara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Amar Ouyahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmadi Belfaa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Boudjemaa Djaout sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mehdi Mecherara skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafik Zemmamouche in the 67th minute of play forced Tarrant FC's goalkeeper Mehdi Mecherara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelaziz Ouyahia's late challenge caught a Tarrant FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdelaziz Ouyahia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Iowa getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Abdelaziz Ouyahia hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Tarrant FC were awarded a corner. Abderraouf Djura went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Tarrant FC's corner Abdelmalek Dahleb fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nassim Mehenni quite easily take care of the ball. Rafik Zemmamouche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mehdi Mecherara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mohamed Zerguelaine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Mecherara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamel Assad, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
