After a defensive mix-up in West Newton FC's zone, Samir Bahari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Dahar came out of the goal and Samir Bahari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samir Bahari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Dahar having to interfere. When Mahmoud Labi, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 19 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mohamed Dahar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, West Newton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samir Bahari came free, but Mohamed Dahar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed Dahar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samir Bahari in the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in West Newton FC's zone, Mahmoud Labi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Dahar came out of the goal and Mahmoud Labi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Samir Bahari notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of West Newton FC's Mohamed Dahar. Mohamed Dahar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 36 minutes, Fodil Bentifour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Newton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fodil Bentifour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 played minutes Ridley got a freekick which was hit by Boughera Belkhadem. Mahmoud Labi struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Mohamed Dahar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ridley. Fodil Bentifours short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Hakim Morceli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cheb Cavalli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mahmoud Labi couldn't finish the play. Samir Bahari who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Mohamed Dahar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, West Newton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fodil Kharroubi to maneuver through the defense. Kateb Azzizi-Kettab kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Fodil Bentifour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The West Newton FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ridley had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
