The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Hocine Boniche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Kermali in the 38th minute of play. Mustapha Deghmani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Hocine Boniche made a huge save. Karim Kermali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chadli Dahleb hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Mustapha Deghmani heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The nice shot from Rachid Kouici in the 58thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Belaid Zitouni had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post.
