When Djamel Khaldi came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Coto De Caza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djamel Khaldi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nadir Dahar in the 29th minute of play forced Coto De Caza FC's goalkeeper Mahmoud Makkeb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Djamel Khaldi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Coto De Caza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djamel Khaldi couldn't finish the play. Coto De Caza FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelaziz Bouteflika was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mahmoud Makkeb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fathi Djebar in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, Coto De Caza FC's Mahmoud Makkeb got control of the ball when Nourredine Mammeri tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Djamel Khaldi made the kick off in the second half. Fathi Djebar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahmoud Makkeb having to interfere. Nasreddine Bahari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Coto De Caza FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
