After a rather tough play, Chatham's Salim Amrouche got a free kick in the 6th minute. West Simsbury AFC's Cheikha Boutabout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fodil Ramdani in the 14th minute of play. Cheikha Boutabout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Bouguerra in the 21st minute of play. Hamid Bouguerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cheikha Boutabout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mahieddine Besseghir got free with Mehdi Harkouk in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Chatham booed when West Simsbury AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Malek didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Chatham's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Hima came free, but Mehdi Harkouk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mahieddine Besseghir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Harkouk having to interfere. Karim Hima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehdi Harkouk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. When Fodil Ramdani came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Chatham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fodil Ramdani couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Karim Hima made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karim Hima in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehdi Harkouk saved Chatham from getting behind. Hamid Bouguerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Fodil Ramdani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheikha Boutabout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamid Bouguerra in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cheikha Boutabout, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Simsbury AFC's goalkeeper Cheikha Boutabout, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. West Simsbury AFC's Mahieddine Besseghir got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chatham's Hamid Bouguerra got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Daho Kensi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chatham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daho Kensi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Chatham players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented West Simsbury AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
