After having played for 28 minutes, El Bedjaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croswell's supporters crossed their fingers, but El Bedjaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Kendallville getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Hocine Mansouri hit a great ball. Rafik Boutabout struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ismael Achiou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croswell. El Bedjaoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ismael Achiou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Bedjaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Ismael Achiou successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mahmoud Kaci Said to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rafik Zoheir Benhamou fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kendallville's protests and gave Rafik Zoheir Benhamou a yellow card for diving instead. El Bedjaoui struck a weak shot in the 90th minute.
