Taubaté FC's Belaid Moussa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Saïfi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 39th minute, Noureddine Saïfi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelmalek Akrour made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Noureddine Saïfi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belaid Moussa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belaid Moussa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noureddine Saïfi, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Yazid Menad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Branch FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yazid Menad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Yazid Menad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yazid Menad who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Belaid Moussa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Belaid Moussa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noureddine Saïfi's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mebarek Belloumi during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Branch FC's Mebarek Belloumi got a free kick in the 74th minute. Taubaté FC's Belaid Moussa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noureddine Saïfi in the 77th minute of play.
