Rachid Baba Ali Allalou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheikha Hamdani having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boubekeur Zéroual during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Boubekeur Zéroual hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Van Horn AFC's Abdelmalek Moussaoui in action when he in the 15th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Farid Belloumi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yacine Mazzid in the 17th minute. A collision led to Van Horn AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Abdelhamid El-Ouafi hit a great ball. Farid Belloumi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yacine Mazzid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 35 minutes, Fodil Zitouni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Van Horn AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fodil Zitouni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fodil Zitouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Van Horn AFC booed when Hamlet AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rachid Baba Ali Allalou didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Van Horn AFC's Fodil Zitouni in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hamlet AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute Souad El-Hadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheikha Hamdani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Souad El-Hadi came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Hamlet AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Souad El-Hadi couldn't finish the play. Hameur Moussa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Souad El-Hadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cheikha Hamdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fodil Zitouni to make the kick off. Fodil Zitouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farid Belloumi having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Van Horn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelnasser Hasni to maneuver through the defense. Nouara Mihoubi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Van Horn AFC's goalkeeper Cheikha Hamdani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Van Horn AFC's Cheikha Hamdani got control of the ball when Souad El-Hadi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Fodil Zitouni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Farid Belloumi. Hamlet AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fodil Zitouni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Van Horn AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hamlet AFC for a fine match.
