Spectators: 6826 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 100) Mendota AFC's Alain Boutella started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Hamlet AFC's Farid Belloumi got control of the ball when Mouloud Kheyari tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rachid Baba Ali Allalou hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Mendota AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Souad El-Hadi came free, but Lakhdar Bouteflika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mouloud Kheyari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farid Belloumi having to interfere. Jussef Bezzaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farid Belloumi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jussef Bezzaz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Hamlet AFC's zone, Jussef Bezzaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Farid Belloumi came out of the goal and Jussef Bezzaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th match minute, Hamlet AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rachid Baba Ali Allalou to maneuver through the defense. Khair ad-Din Belhadj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farid Belloumi having to interfere. Mouloud Kheyari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jussef Bezzaz took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Farid Belloumi. Farid Belloumi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mouloud Kheyari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Farid Belloumi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th play minute Mouloud Kheyari came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Farid Belloumi. 2-1. When Mouloud Kheyari came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Mendota AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mouloud Kheyari couldn't finish the play. Jussef Bezzaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farid Belloumi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jussef Bezzaz ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jussef Bezzaz in the 43rd minute of play forced Hamlet AFC's goalkeeper Farid Belloumi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Souad El-Hadi in the 44th minute of play forced Mendota AFC's goalkeeper Lakhdar Bouteflika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jussef Bezzaz fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mendota AFC's protests and gave Jussef Bezzaz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mendota AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jussef Bezzaz hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Ali Badis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lakhdar Bouteflika showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Farid Belloumi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jussef Bezzaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Jussef Bezzaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamlet AFC's Farid Belloumi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Hameur Moussa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lakhdar Bouteflika saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Mouloud Kheyari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Farid Belloumi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Mouloud Kheyari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Farid Belloumi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelmalek Moussaoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jussef Bezzaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Mouloud Kheyari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Belloumi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jussef Bezzaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendota AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jussef Bezzaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Belloumi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
