The crowd rose to their feet as Abdelmalek Bourebbou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lounès Belkheir. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wausau's Mounir Mouzaoui got a free kick in the 17th minute. Chaba Chebal hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Ali Boulahfane sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fathi Boulebda skillfully saved the ball. In the 26th match minute, Edina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmed Ighil to maneuver through the defense. If Ali Teissier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. Abdelmalek Bourebbou might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lounès Belkheir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdelmalek Bourebbou ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ali Teissier came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Wausau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Teissier couldn't finish the play. Ali Teissier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fathi Boulebda having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The attack was good, but when Abdelmalek Bourebbou in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fathi Boulebda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mounir Mouzaoui showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 72 minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Wausau's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelmalek Bourebbou came free, but Lounès Belkheir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 played minutes Edina got a freekick which was hit by Adlène Ouyahia. Chaba Chebal hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Lounès Belkheir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelmalek Bourebbou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
