Abderrahmane Azzizi-Kettab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Benida in the 16th minute of play forced Ranger FC's goalkeeper Mouloud Kourichi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tafuna getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Abdelaziz Ben Bella hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Abdelhamid Teissier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abderrahmane Azzizi-Kettab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelhamid Teissier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abderrahmane Azzizi-Kettab having to interfere. If Abdelhamid Teissier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mouloud Kourichi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Abderrahmane Azzizi-Kettab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelhamid Teissier, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Charles Benida notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ranger FC's Mouloud Kourichi. Mouloud Kourichi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mouloud Kourichi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed in the 44th minute of the match. Mouloud Kourichi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Benida in the 46th minute of play. If Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ranger FC's Mohammed Ahmed Bouzid got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Medjadi Boukensa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Abd al-Aziz Mehenni in the 55th minute really tested Mouloud Kourichi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 59th minute, Ranger FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Charles Benida scored 0-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mouloud Kourichi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tafuna's protests and gave Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tafuna's Lakhdar Fadhil Mohamed got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 80 played minutes Ranger FC got a freekick which was hit by Yacine Messaoud. Mohamed Ben Ahmed Mohand kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Charles Benida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheb Kensi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tafuna had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
