The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brahim El-Ouafi's late challenge caught a Marinette FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brahim El-Ouafi helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Willows FC got a freekick which was hit by Brahim El-Ouafi. 23 minutes into the match, Guillaume Laurent Bedjaoui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Safy Sadmi. Willows FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillaume Laurent Bedjaoui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marinette FC's Madhi Gallaire got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Madhi Gallaire struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Safy Sadmi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marinette FC. Jussef el Ibrahimi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. François Drid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. François Drid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jussef el Ibrahimi, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Safy Sadmi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Madhi Gallaire went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Willows FC's goalkeeper Safy Sadmi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillaume Laurent Bedjaoui. François Drid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jussef el Ibrahimi in the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Willows FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Madhi Gallaire fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Madhi Gallaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Safy Sadmi having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Marinette FC's Madhi Gallaire slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Safy Sadmi. That made the score 0-3 after 69 minutes of play. Guillaume Laurent Bedjaoui who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Safy Sadmi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Ismael Yahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Bouzid Bruel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Marinette FC's Camel Menad broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 92nd minute Ismael Yahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François Drid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mohamed Bencherif fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Willows FC's protests and gave Mohamed Bencherif a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marinette FC booed when Willows FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Bencherif didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Willows FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Marinette FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
