The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. One of Mountainside AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garapan:s goal. Ahmed Firoud went to the wrong direction when Abdelnacer Belloumi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ahmed Firoud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faouzi Merbah, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menad Zahouania in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmed Firoud prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Mountainside AFC's Abdelkader Besseghir threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cheb Drioueche, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kamel Madjer in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdelkader Besseghir, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Faouzi Merbah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmed Firoud having to make a save. Ahmed Firoud came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Garapan's Faouzi Merbah. But to his dismay, Faouzi Merbah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kamel Madjer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Abdelkader Besseghir made a huge save. Cheb Drioueche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelkader Besseghir having to interfere. Faouzi Merbah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Firoud having to interfere. Kamel Madjer struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Abdelkader Besseghir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mountainside AFC. The Mountainside AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Garapan were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cheb Drioueche was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes Garapan got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Laurent Benaouf. In the 59th minute of the match Abdelhamid Otman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdelkader Besseghir skillfully saved the ball. If Cheb Drioueche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Guillaume Laurent Benaouf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cheb Drioueche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Abdelkader Besseghir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelkader Besseghir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamel Madjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes Garapan got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Laurent Benaouf. After 75 minutes of play, Garapan's Faouzi Merbah made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmed Firoud was left in no man's land by his defense there! Menad Zahouania blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmed Firoud having to make a save. Kamel Madjer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Abdelkader Besseghir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelkader Besseghir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamel Madjer in the 91st minute of the match. Menad Zahouania fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Firoud having to interfere. The Mountainside AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Garapan's performance. The match ended with a win for Garapan.
