Fawzi Brahmi's late challenge caught a Springville AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fawzi Brahmi helped the player get up and apologised. Fawzi Brahmi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes of play, Hidalgo's Yacine Madjer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilles Moll was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Hachemi Douibi got free with Kamel Medjoudj in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Muhammad Zidane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Moll having to interfere. Springville AFC's Gilles Moll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Seghiri in the 21st minute of play. Hachemi Douibi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Rachid Seghiri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gilles Moll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fawzi Brahmi was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Hidalgo's Fawzi Brahmi got a free kick in the 30th minute. Hachemi Douibi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Medjoudj having to interfere. Hachemi Douibi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hidalgo's zone, Hachemi Douibi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamel Medjoudj came out of the goal and Hachemi Douibi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toufik Mouzaoui got free with Kamel Medjoudj in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Hachemi Douibi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Springville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hachemi Douibi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamel Medjoudj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Muhammad Zidane kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Hidalgo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hachemi Douibi to make the kick off. When Hachemi Douibi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Springville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hachemi Douibi couldn't finish the play. Kamel Medjoudj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Gourion in the 57th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hidalgo defense, Hachemi Douibi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kamel Medjoudj. The Hidalgo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kamel Medjoudj should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Hachemi Douibi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamel Medjoudj was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Hachemi Douibi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Medjoudj having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Muhammad Zidane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hachemi Douibi in the 68th minute of play forced Hidalgo's goalkeeper Kamel Medjoudj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hachemi Douibi in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kamel Medjoudj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yacine Madjer hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Gilles Moll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Hachemi Douibi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kamel Medjoudj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hachemi Douibi in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Toufik Mouzaoui left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Springville AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Springville AFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Hidalgo to leave the ground with a draw.
