After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Fodil Soltani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seneca's supporters rose to their feet, but Fodil Soltani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benamar Azzizi-Kettab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Claypool getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mohamed Cherrad hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Fodil Soltani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benamar Azzizi-Kettab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Seneca's Ben Belaout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fouad Lacen in the 62nd minute of play. Benamar Azzizi-Kettab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fodil Soltani in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of Seneca booed when Claypool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelaziz Megharia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abdelaziz Zitouni came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Claypool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelaziz Zitouni couldn't finish the play. Ben Belaout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelaziz Zitouni in the 81st minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Claypool's Abdelaziz Zitouni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ben Belaout narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Seneca's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelaziz Zitouni came free, but Ben Belaout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seneca's Ben Belaout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelaziz Zitouni in the 95th minute of play. Ben Belaout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdelaziz Zitouni's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
