The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmed Amsallem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofiane Amri, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Port Townsend booed when De Pere FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Assia Boumedienne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Port Townsend's Ismaël Amara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mahmoud Aboulker. Mahmoud Aboulker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When De Pere FC's Sofiane Amri in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Port Townsend's goalie prevented a goal. Sofiane Amri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ahmed Amsallem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, El Abdi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mahmoud Aboulker, 2-0. Mahmoud Aboulker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from El Abdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmed Amsallem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismaël Bougherra in the 27th minute of the match. De Pere FC's Assia Boumedienne got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, De Pere FC's Assia Boumedienne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmed Amsallem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Port Townsend's goalkeeper Ahmed Amsallem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hamid Saïdi-Sief's late challenge caught a De Pere FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamid Saïdi-Sief helped the player get up and apologised. Hamid Saïdi-Sief kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Assia Boumedienne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Amsallem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes, Lounès Kraouche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Pere FC and the Port Townsend players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for De Pere FC!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. El Abdi was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Port Townsend's zone, Assia Boumedienne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmed Amsallem came out of the goal and Assia Boumedienne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 57 minutes, Ismaël Bougherra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Pere FC and the Port Townsend players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Ismaël Bougherra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd match minute, De Pere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismaël Bougherra to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by El Abdi in the 64th minute of play forced De Pere FC's goalkeeper Mahmoud Aboulker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sofiane Amri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ahmed Amsallem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mahmoud Aboulker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Ismaël Amara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by El Abdi in the 81st minute of play forced De Pere FC's goalkeeper Mahmoud Aboulker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sofiane Amri's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Ahmed Amsallem skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Assia Boumedienne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismaël Amara struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mahmoud Aboulker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Port Townsend. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Port Townsend had won after a very even match.
