The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Port Townsend's Ahmed Amsallem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chakib Zahouania in the 5th minute of play. Hamid Saïdi-Sief's late challenge caught a Sparlingville FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamid Saïdi-Sief helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Hamid Saïdi-Sief hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If El Abdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Hamouda kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ismaël Amara in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fodil Benbitour, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 27 minutes into the game, Abdel Cherfa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sparlingville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Port Townsend the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sparlingville FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Port Townsend. Chadli Mimoun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fodil Benbitour. 1-1. Ahmed Ighil charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmed Ighil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sparlingville FC's Khalida Zeghdoud got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Abdi struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Fodil Benbitour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Port Townsend. Khalida Zeghdoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Amsallem having to interfere. Ahmed Amsallem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalida Zeghdoud, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ismaël Amara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Fodil Benbitour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodil Benbitour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from El Abdi in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chakib Zahouania was the one to do the kick off. In the 57thth minute of the game El Abdi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sparlingville FC's Fodil Benbitour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. During the 58th minute of the match Ahmed Hamouda completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ahmed Hamouda a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 59th match minute, Sparlingville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmed Hamouda to maneuver through the defense. If Ismaël Amara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Mohamed hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Fodil Benbitour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismaël Amara in the 66th minute of play. Ahmed Amsallem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khalida Zeghdoud in the 70th minute. Khalida Zeghdoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Port Townsend's goalkeeper Ahmed Amsallem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khalida Zeghdoud. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Port Townsend's goalkeeper Ahmed Amsallem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Khalida Zeghdoud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khalida Zeghdoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Amsallem having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sparlingville FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
