Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Yazid Djaout kicked off to start the match. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Ahmed Belkacem got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 8th minute Ahmed Belkacem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rachid Chebal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Mountain Iron got a freekick which was hit by Moulay Bessou. Rachid Chebal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Chadli Al-Jazairia. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Belkacem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rachid Chebal was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Djabir Maillot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Brahmi in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Ahmed Belkacem reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rachid Chebal. The goal made the score 1-0. Chakib Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Chebal having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Mountain Iron's goalkeeper Rachid Chebal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chakib Macias. Djabir Maillot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yazid Djaout in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmed Belkacem in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rachid Chebal saved Mountain Iron from getting behind. After having played for 43 minutes, Yazid Djaout managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mountain Iron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yazid Djaout was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alain Brahmi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Chakib Macias struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rachid Chebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belvidere AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasserredine Kaci Said in the 55th minute of play forced Mountain Iron's goalkeeper Rachid Chebal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Mountain Iron defense, Ahmed Belkacem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rachid Chebal. The Mountain Iron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rachid Chebal should have stopped the shot. Rachid Chebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chakib Macias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chakib Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Chebal having to interfere. Djabir Maillot was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Yazid Djaout capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yazid Djaout really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Alain Brahmi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yazid Djaout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Chakib Macias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Rachid Chebal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Djabir Maillot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fodil Malek, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
