After 9 minutes, Mohammad Zenia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madawaska FC and the Lincolnshire AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yonko Zapryanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Souad Saadane, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhamid Saïd-Guerni in the 16th minute of play forced Lincolnshire AFC's goalkeeper Khair ad-Din Ulansi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khair ad-Din Ulansi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelhamid Saïd-Guerni in the 30th minute of the match. Mohammad Zenia was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Madawaska FC! 2-0 came through a penalty shot after 39 played minutes, when Lincolnshire AFC:s Robert Ihidjaten calmly waited for Madawaska FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. In the 42nd minute Souad Saadane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yonko Zapryanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Khair ad-Din Ulansi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halim Piaf in the 45th minute of play. Halim Piaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khair ad-Din Ulansi having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51stth minute of the game Souad Saadane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Madawaska FC's Yonko Zapryanov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Abdel Karim Haddou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madawaska FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdel Karim Haddou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Lincolnshire AFC defense, Halim Piaf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khair ad-Din Ulansi. The Lincolnshire AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khair ad-Din Ulansi should have stopped the shot. Khair ad-Din Ulansi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abdelhamid Saïd-Guerni. Madawaska FC's Salim Ramdani suffered a concussion after 64 minutes and had to leave the field. Ben Mimoun's late challenge caught a Madawaska FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ben Mimoun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Ben Mimoun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillaume Laurent Kouici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Souad Saadane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Madawaska FC booed when Lincolnshire AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammed Ahmed Sifi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Lincolnshire AFC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Lincolnshire AFC's Souad Saadane looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillaume Laurent Kouici in the 81st minute of play forced Madawaska FC's goalkeeper Yonko Zapryanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Madawaska FC's zone, Guillaume Laurent Kouici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yonko Zapryanov came out of the goal and Guillaume Laurent Kouici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Souad Saadane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yonko Zapryanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abdel Karim Haddou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
