Mimoun Firoud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Bezzaz in the 18th minute of play. Mustapha Saci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mimoun Firoud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slimane Brahami in the 23rd minute of play forced Clintonville's goalkeeper Cheb Sifi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheb Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Ahmed Ben Benaouf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bouzid Timsit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mimoun Firoud having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abderrachid Menad in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mimoun Firoud prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cheb Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slimane Brahami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Bath FC's Mohammed Ahmed Ben Benaouf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cheb Sifi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bath FC's Mohamed Kermali got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Clintonville getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dida Bezzaz hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Mohammed Ahmed Ben Benaouf in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bouzid Timsit got free with Mimoun Firoud in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bath FC's Mimoun Firoud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Bath FC from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mohammed Ahmed Ben Benaouf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Mohammed Ahmed Ben Benaouf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheb Sifi made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Slimane Brahami sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute Abderrachid Menad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mimoun Firoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bath FC's Mimoun Firoud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bouzid Timsit in the 87th minute of play. Abderrachid Menad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mimoun Firoud having to interfere. Belaid Morceli hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Clintonville players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
