The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pitman. The goalkeeper, Djabir Mamouni, was totally fooled by Peeniono AS's Farès Ulansi, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Fawzi Beloufa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nadir Semghoun to make the kick off. Lili Ghazi kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pitman's zone, Mansour Sadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Djabir Mamouni came out of the goal and Mansour Sadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peeniono AS's Faouzi Boudiaf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fawzi Beloufa in the 75th minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Farès Ouyahia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Faouzi Boudiaf was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Farès Ouyahia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Faouzi Boudiaf made a huge save. Faouzi Boudiaf came out of the goal and Yazid Djebbour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peeniono AS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pitman had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
